You Don't Need to Wait Until You Break
One for the road..
Survival Mode | Relatable
Hey there,
There's something I've noticed about women who are really good at keeping everything going.
We wait.
We wait until we're completely exhausted before resting.
We wait until we're crying before admitting we're overwhelmed.
We wait until we're snapping at everyone before asking for space.
We wait until our bodies practically force us to stop before deciding that maybe...
we've been doing too much.
Somewhere along the way, we learned that struggling wasn't enough.
It had to become unmanageable before we were allowed to do something about it.
But what if we stopped waiting for the breakdown?
What if tired was enough?
What if overwhelmed was enough?
What if noticing yourself becoming more irritable, disconnected or exhausted was enough information to say:
Something needs to change here.
You don't need to earn support by suffering long enough.
This Week's Burnout Bar Reminder
You are allowed to respond to your needs before they become emergencies.
Rest doesn't have to be recovery.
Boundaries don't have to come after resentment.
Support doesn't have to come after breaking.
Try This This Weekend
Ask yourself:
What have I been telling myself isn't “bad enough” to deal with yet?
Don't immediately solve it.
Just acknowledge it.
Sometimes that's where change starts.
One for the Road ☕
You don't have to hit rock bottom to decide you don't like the direction you're heading.
You can choose differently while you're still standing.
See you next Friday,
Jenna
