1. How do I know if therapy or coaching is right for me?

If you're looking for support with mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or emotional healing, psychotherapy may be the best fit.

If you're looking for guidance, accountability, nervous system education, burnout support, or personal growth, coaching may be a better option.

Not sure? Book a free 15-minute consultation and we can explore what feels right for you.

2. Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes! I offer a free 15-minute consultation where we can discuss what's bringing you here, answer any questions, and determine whether we're a good fit to work together.

3. Do you provide virtual sessions?

Yes. Psychotherapy sessions are offered virtually to residents of Ontario, and coaching is available worldwide.

4. Are psychotherapy sessions covered by insurance?

Many extended health benefit plans provide coverage for Registered Psychotherapists. Clients are responsible for verifying their own coverage. Receipts are provided following each session for reimbursement purposes.

5. What can I expect during our first session?

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other. We'll talk about what's bringing you here, explore your goals, and begin creating a plan that feels supportive and realistic for you. There is no pressure to share everything all at once.

6. What issues do you support clients with?

I commonly support individuals experiencing burnout, anxiety, overwhelm, motherhood and matrescence, life transitions, emotional regulation challenges, self-worth concerns, stress, boundaries, and nervous system dysregulation.

7. Do I need to be in crisis to start therapy?

Not at all.

Many people seek support because they're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from themselves, or simply tired of carrying everything on their own.

You don't have to wait until things get worse to ask for support.

8. What if I'm not ready for therapy or coaching?

That's okay too.

The Burnout Bar offers free and self-paced resources designed to help you better understand your nervous system, burnout, and survival mode. Sometimes learning is the first step.

9. How often do we meet?

Most clients choose to meet weekly or bi-weekly, although frequency can be adjusted based on your goals, needs, and availability.

10. What if I've never done therapy before?

Many of my clients are starting therapy for the first time.

It's normal to feel nervous. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and understood from the very beginning.
